“Some schools in England may be
breaking the law in the way they
admit pupils, despite the introduction
of new rules last year, the government
has said.”
BBC News Website
Since the Government passed the 2007 Admissions
Code, the difficulties of organising ‘fair and transparent’
admissions arrangements have never been far from
the limelight.
The Code introduced for the first time mandatory admissions requirements; Admissions Authorities must now act in accordance with the Code’s demands. What problems has this raised for your Admissions Authority? For example how has the increased emphasis on parental choice affected you?
Are you certain that you are compliant with the Code
and that you can avoid the penalties of getting your
admissions policy wrong? The penalties for getting it
wrong are severe and the Government is committed to
changing the way Admissions Arrangements work.
